Ruinart Rose Magnum gift box. Fruity and subtle, a versatile Ruinart champagne packed in gift box daring gastronomic accompaniments

Ruinart Rose Champagne Magnum gift box (two bottle size). Fruity and subtle, a versatile Ruinart champagne packed in gift box daring gastronomic accompaniments. It pairs well with a host of appetizers such as: Andalucian gazpacho, salmon or bluefin tuna sashimi, or beef carpaccioNose subtle, fine, fresh, with aromas of cherry and red berries just picked. Pointed with floral notes (pink, hawthorn) and spice notes (tonka, nutmeg). The color is of a pink pomegranate delicate, reflections very slightly orange. The effervescence is lively and light, with a persistent cord. The nose is subtle and fresh, first offering an original palette of exotic fruits (guava, lychee), and small red fruits (raspberry, cherry, wild strawberry). Notes of pink and pomegranate complete this complex and intense aromatic profile, dominated by evolved primary aromas. On the palate, the attack is frank and full, rocked by a gentle effervescence. The aromas of red fruits just picked are fully expressed. The balance combines roundness gourmande and pretty freshness, which is expressed on an elegant and invigorating touch of mint and pink grapefruit.

Blended on a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir basis, mostly classified as Premiers Crus, with 20 to 25% reserve wines from the previous 2 years.

45% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. 55% Pinot Noir of the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne, of which 18 to 19% are vinified in red.

Wine making:

Hand harvesting
Alcoholic fermentation in thermoregulated stainless steel vats
For the red wine, short maceration and light extraction
Malo-lactic fermentation
Dosage: 9 g / l
The wines are quite well-known around the world, but less so in the US, where the estate is making an effort to re-establish its presence. Today the wines are made under the guidance of Chef de Caves Frederic Panaiotis, who clearly has an outsize passion for these Champagnes as well as the house’s rich heritage. Although Ruinart is best known for their vintage Blanc de Blancs, the Rose is perhaps even more fascinating, particularly after a few years in bottle, which in important vintages allows for the Pinot Noir to speak with great eloquence. The Ruinart wines tend to be medium in body and are made with levels of dosage that are closer to the high end of the spectrum. Although the back labels show codes which can be tracked to disgorgement dates, it would be nice to see Ruinart provide disgorgement dates for its wines.
