From the Pauillac appellation, 1964 Chateau Haut-Batailley was recognised as a 5th Growth estate of Pauillac in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.
Château Batailley is one of the oldest estates in Bordeaux. In 1942, it was divided into the two separate estates we know today: Chateau Batailley and Chateau Haut Batailley.
