Nestled in the heart of Roussillon, our Banyuls 1966 wine estate, L'Archiviste, is a treasured gem in the Domaines et Terroirs du Sud portfolio. This majestic terroir, where the Pyrenees Mountains meet the Mediterranean Sea, is renowned for its unique Grenache-based wines that embody the region's essence.
Tasting Note: This 1966 wine is made from 100% Grenache Noir, although in theory, up to 30% of pale-skinned grapes can be added to a Banyuls. It comes from a well-known private cellar situated on schist soil. The wine has a dark fox-red colour and features a smooth texture with rich, vibrant flavours, including notes of liquorice.
