Close to Clos Vougeot, the soil is quite deep, not very stony, even if Bajocian marl outcrops in a few places. The vines, planted on an area of 34 ares, are mostly about sixty years old.
During ageing, The Echezeaux are characterized by their tenderness and breadth. They are often open, expressive, precocious. They reveal a great suppleness, supported by a velvet-like persistence in the mouth. Aromas of raspberry and wild rose characterize it in its youth.
