Tasting notes for 1987 wine Chateau Leoville Barton
A superlative effort this year. Deep plum colour with slight tawny rim. A lovely perfumed nose: plums, iodine, raspberry and cinnamon. Well-defined palate, not deep, but very smooth and silky. Quite high-toned with a light black cherry finish. Moderate length. Better than Lascases this year.
