GRANJA AMARELEJA - About the Portugal wine
It is the brand for the excellent wines from Granja-Amareleja! Intended for high-quality, small-volume wines, carefully aged in oak barrels and which for a strong reason deserve to be bottled in a different way (old, monovarietal, commemorative vines, winemaker's choice, special winemaking - these have been reasons for these wines) . It is aimed at very demanding consumers looking for great quality, typicality, originality and uniqueness in wines.
The white wine
Antão Vaz, Perrum, Rabo de Ovelha and Roupeiro, together or separately with a minimum of 65%, Diagalves, Manteúd and Trincadeira das Pratas. The grape varieties Roupeiro, Perrum, Rabo de Ovelha and Diagalves (known locally as Pendura da Amareleja) are especially appreciated, for the production of carved wines with great identity.
The Red Wine
Alfrocheiro, Aragonês, Castelão and Moreto, together or separately with a minimum of 80%, Carignan, Tinta Caiada and Trincadeira. The Moreto grape variety is the ex-libris of the Left Bank of the Guadiana, particularly when it is grown in open-foot (without grafting), originating wines of great character and very fragrant. The Alfrocheiro variety is also especially appreciated, frequently found in old vineyards.
