An elegant Alsace wine with a crisp finish and good length - Riesling at it's best. Powerful citrus and floral fruit characters balanced with great minerality and a long crisp finish.
Winemaking is traditional in style and is overseen by Michel Lihrmann. Grapes are sourced from selected prime vineyards lying on siliceous soil. Harvesting is by hand or machine, depending on the site. Pneumatic pressing, temperature controlled fermentation, no finings and light filtration before bottling - all to preserve fruit and aromatic qualities and elegance. His philosophy is to make wines with good acidity and fruit balance.
A pure, fruit-driven nose, with aromas of cut limes and a hint of petrol. The wine has a perfumed honeyed palate and is intensely fruity, with white peach flavours and mineral complexity. The finish is dry, refreshing and beautifully balanced, and incredibly open for a young Alsace Riesling.
