Sierra Cantabria Gran Reserva 2004. Intense ruby with medium-high intensity, covered with yellow and garnet tones. Very clean.
Aroma: intense, fragrant, and powerful, with a succession of aromatic characteristics. Mature red fruits, balsamic, vanillas and a rich aroma of toasted oak with a hint of truffle.
In mouth: vigorous, fresh, and silky with a pleasant presence of mature tannins, elaborating a balance of diverse tastes. The finish leaves mineral notes, spices and red ripe fruit and liquor finely integrated with balsamic, coffee and toasted touches. Robert Parker: 90 points
Propietary vineyards in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, La Rioja. Average yield: 29 Hls./Ha. (321 gal./acre). Date of harvest: Last week of October 2001. Manually selected clusters with further selection in the winery by means of a sorting table.
