Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1969 red wine
Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1969 red wine
Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1969 red wine. Soils with deep fine gravel mixed with aeolien sands on a bedrock of tertiary limestone. They are well drained and well exposed to the sun.
The property has been managed by a single team since 1962, which supervises both Château Lafite Rothschild and Château Duhart-Milon, since the two properties are adjacent. Both châteaux use the same techniques based on strict mastery of yields, harvesting by hand, and undertaking constant maintenance throughout the year. Little or no chemical fertilizers are used, and sparse use of organic fertilizers allow the grapevines to reach an advanced age, and are only uprooted (heavy-heartedly) when the stalks are around 80 years old.
