Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill, nephew to the 8th duke of Marlborough, was born at Blenheim palace on the 30th November 1974 he was educated at harrow and trained at sandhurst, before serving in India and Sudan. He worked as a war correspondent during the Boer war and was elected as a member of parliament in 1900. He married Clementine hozier in 1908

He was succeeded as prime minister be Sir Anthony Eden in 1955, and retired to his home at Chart well. He was awarded honorary citizenship of the United States in 1963. This was possibly his greatest honour. He died at the age of 90 on the 24th January 1965.
