Longer Ageing
HINE prefers to set its own standards, which involves letting the cognac mature in cask for many years more than the time required by French law.

Blends Qualities
HINE has chosen not to produce any VS quality and to produce only cognacs of VSOP quality and above.
VS Very Superior - minimum legal age 2,5 years
VSOP Very Special Old Pale - minimum legal age 4 years
XO Extra Old - minimum legal age 6 years

HINE also forms part of the small circle of Houses who select their cognacs exclusively from the two well-known crus of the Cognac region. These, the Grande Champagne and the Petite Champagne, lie at the very heart of the Cognac region, and produce cognacs that are especially suitable for long ageing.
