An excellent blended whisky. Rich and exceptionally smooth with chocolate orange, some citrus and spice on the nose and a full, fruity, citrusy and spicy palate, with sherry notes to finish. Chivas Regal 18 year old Whisky
Open it, pour little, sniff it, feel the flavours oozing out of it, taste it, try to figure out the distinct taste between this and the others, add a little water, shake it slightly, let the water mix with it, let it release its flavours, and then taste it again…..let it rest on your tongue for a moment or two, feel the alcohol taste in it, try to search the taste of the previous four whiskies in it, taste it again, until you realise this is yet another new taste and is not even close to the first four you have tried.
Though 30 whiskys are used to make Chivas Regal, it dose not take the taste of any of them. It evolves into a new scotch altogether and that, is Chivas Regal.
