Quinta do Vesuvio came top of the Revista de Vinhos 2005 vintage port tasting. Very dense colour and concentrated bouquet. Showed some vegetal notes typical of the Vesuvio vineyards, along with suggestive mineral hints. Very austere and full, vigorous to the point of violence. A raw diamond. A gift packed in a gift wooden box
