This vintage was made from old Merlot vines (60 %) and selected plots of Cabernet Franc (40 %). 1999 Angélus is a beautiful deep, dark, crimson colour. The nose is very expressive, with chocolate, plum, and morello cherry overtones. The initial impression on the palate is round and velvety. This a thick wine with tannin that is becoming silkier all the time, as well as just the right hint of oak. This vintage is developing in a spectacular way
