Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 1982

Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1982 wine
The thick, unctuously-textured, jammy fruit and enormous flavor concentration that are the hallmarks of the vintage are present, but the wine is extremely unevolved, and behaves like a young barrel sample. This massive, powerful example of Mouton wine exhibits huge tannin and immense body... Owners who do not want to commit infanticide should cellar it for another 5-10 years. Like Latour, the 1982 Mouton-Rothschild is a potential 50-60 year wine. Robert Parker, 100 points. Bordeaux vintage wines

Cheval Blanc 1982

Cheval Blanc 1982. St. Emilion

Cheval Blanc 1982. Revealing considerable amber in its dark plum/garnet colour, this intensely fragrant 1982 is somewhat of a paradox in that the front end suggests full maturity, but the mid-palate, finish, and overall texture denote a closed wine. A gorgeously sweet entry displays flavours of caramel, roasted coffee, jammy red and black fruits, coconut, and smoke. It is fat and full-bodied, with considerable tannin, structure, and muscle in the finish. Robert Parker 100 points.

Chateau Margaux 1983 premier grand cru. 25th silver anniversary
The 1983 Margaux is a breathtaking wine. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes achieved perfect maturity in 1983, and the result is an astonishingly rich, concentrated, atypically powerful and tannic Margaux. The color is dark ruby, the aromas exude ripe cassis fruit, violets, and vanillin oakiness. 96/100 pts. Robert Parker. Bordeaux vintage wines

Ch Latour 1986 Pauillac
Ch Latour 1986. A massive wine that it is only beggining to open up. Fruit and tannin combine in what could fairly be described as a "blockbuster". Robert Parker 91 points

Chateau Duhart Milon Rothschild Pauillac 1988
Ch Duhart Milon Rothschild Pauillac 1988 This wine is at its best when the Merlot grapes have fully ripened, for otherwise the tannins, the acidity and the herbaceous tones overcome the more agreeable aspects. This vineyard borders Chateau Lafite Rothschild and has the same owners. The refined elegance of this wine is reflected in Duhart Milon together with the spicy notes of oak, vanilla and tobacco.
